What have you done to your bike today?

Starting to think you are a rep for them 😂

lmfao, i wish, shits expensive.

I also should note that i RARELY have good luck with stuff, usually end up with every little, uncommon problem.

only issue i have had with the sram eagle stuff is one derailluer snapped (about 8 months old), i couldnt find any reason for it, no stick jammed in the wheel or anything

I snapped two red derailleurs, one the tab the spring attaches to broke off and the other ripped in half at the pivot bolt. Neither one was the result of an impact, at least not when it actually broke.

this is how mine went, no impact at the time of failure, it is a mtn bike so saying no impact at all would be a stretch. . . .

Started building my daughters B-day bike. A expert sized 20” race bmx bike. Black friday sale frame, with all leftover parts from her old bikes. I think a new chain and a number plate are the only parts I’ll need to source to get it finished. Nothing like starting a build at 1 AM half in the bag!

Today I installed the 27.5 plus boost wheelset I got for Christmas. Now, what to do with the old set? Get 29er rims and build a swap out? Get studded tires for the old set? Or just keep as spares? Inquiring gnomes want to mine.View attachment 146829

27.5 + You could let me borrow them to see if they fit my ntm bike!! To keep on topic, I did just recently unbox it.

Been playing around with a new school BMX freestyle bike. Most notably, the Freecoaster rear hub. If you don’t know, internally it’s basically the drive clutch from a coaster brake, stuffed with big sealed bearings, and rolls like greased owl poop when you disengage the drive clutch. The big takeaway is that the hub doesn’t back-drive the cranks when rolling backwards.

This hub had a freakish amount of slack between a back-pedal and then forward engagement. Those three little washers (bottom-left in the photo above) allow you to adjust this slack. Three didn’t do it, but four (1mm thick) washers seems to be perfect - plenty of rollback play and easy to engage/pedal-out.

It’s a bit of a mind-bend when you consider we all chase high-engagement hubs...

Lightened up my trail bike , removed tire inserts . Installed custom tuned dvo topaz shock .

And newly shapped axs paddle . Still not crazy about the paddle but a few minutes with a dremel will make it proper .
Didn't like inserts?
