What have you done to your bike today?

Washed our bikes after this mornings ride. Then decided to do another, then another. Things escalated quickly. I’ve never had so many bikes clean at once.

Installed some new grips on one of the bmx race bikes and tightened a couple loose spokes on the GT DJ.

Found a plastic paint can at the big box store and Immediately thought, cool parts cleaner!

Modified a stainless noodle basket to fit inside.

And cleaned-up a NOS coaster brake hub.

Had a slow leak on the rear of the gravel assault bike-
Figured I’d start with refreshing the Stans since it’s probably due-

As I unscrewed the syringe from the valve, the valve but nearly came off.
Ah, okay. Cinched it down, and we’re good.

Was also going to clean and lube the drive train, but it’s looking good with the factory lube still on it.
Amirite @extremedave and @SheldonBrown?

Added a 14oz bottle, lil kitty cat side pull cage and some matte cheetah print frame protection.

Thought I was gonna have to replace the chain, a little superficial rust from the drive home in the rain yesterday, but I managed to get it cleaned up nicely.

Someone had the same wheels on his bike today at TM, I’ve thought about mentioning it but the decided against it...it’ll buff right out anyway, no biggie!

Replaced the rear tire. Side knobs were getting mad undercut...probably a hundred miles+one railed turn away from tearing knobs off.

Lubed the dropper bushing, too.

Replaced the worn completely thru in spots handlebar tape on the systemsix. Did my usual crappy job - but sorta matches the accents on the bike and feels 100% better, which is all I really care about. Check out the cap end on the left side - oops!

Not my bike but I replaced my old tool box. After so many adventures and good times, I was sad to see it go so I meticulously peeled off a few stickers and glued them to the new box.

Some of these stickers are more than 25 years old.

Neighbor's bike stopped shifting below the 5th smallest cog... Guessing he was about 1 more ride before disaster and headache. New cable and it was shifting perfect.

LoL. Just a bunch of old bike tools and way too many small parts that will never be used. I think I counted a dozen valve stems. 😳

Post trip bike teardown revealed one seized suspension bearing and two well om their way. They got replaced, all pivots lubed bike cleaned up. New tires and brake pads, bled the brakes and this is what came out of them...😳 May have waited a bit long for this job... .

Nice, but those bars look a little narrow for DH.
