What have you done to your bike today?

New Conti's and grips. Still have another 3 weeks before I can ride. Grrrrrrrrr

This were the simplest tire to install (no levers) and inflate (hand pump) to date. Holding air with no sealant but I get later in the week. Seems like a very nice profile on my wheels.

Finally got around to getting these new Terravail Washburn tubeless tires onto my gravel wheels ( well I don’t know how to so a friend did it for me ) as I wore out my GKs a few weeks back.

The rear valve always seemed to leak air on and off so decided to grab these matchy new valves also.

Shakedown ride hopefully Sunday. These tires have a similar style to the Pathfinder Pros with the smooth tread down the middle. but a little beefier profile as they move towards the edge so curious to see how they roll for the basic gravel around here. Plus I tend to ride a decent amount of roads to get for the gravel anyway which is probably why my GK wore out too fast.

Wowza that is an expensive power meter.
They were $300 cheaper when I got them. Still on the higher end.
I think that’s why they take care of warranties. This is the second time I’ve sent them in. The first was because they were all over the map with losing connectivity and power reading. Pretty sure I had a pre production version. They have been super solid ever since.

Even the cracked cage was my own fault. I let those torx screws get a little loose and that’s when I smashed a rock and cracked it. It was cracked right around where the torx mounts it. 🤷‍♂️

I forgot to add they’re totally unnecessary. A power meter on a MTB is awesome. Tracking intensity factor (IF) during a race is very useful. But a $300 single side stages crankarm will work just as well.

I did the Assioma body swap to a pair of Bontrager MTB pedals but I am terrified of using them anywhere rockier than LewMo tbh.

I think the battery is going on them too unfortunately.

I’m surprised. The Assiomias have awesome batteries. I have them on my road bike and they go months between charging and I use them on my trainer so they got a ton of miles.

Can you swap the battery?

Apparently not. I did have a firmware update waiting so hoping that's all the issue was. It was showing charged and then just dying immediately.

During Elsa's Polar Roll Prep, I used this weird little rack extender that came with one of my other racks. The Salsa Fat Rack is designed to be mounted on the seatstay so it wouldn't clear the tire. Afterwards I rode my bike loaded on the train tracks and through 6-Mile to make sure it would hold. Super sturdy. I have a second set of these I'll pack in my Tool Keg just in case some shit goes down...

I could use one of these extenders. Are the sold somewhere?
