What have you done to your bike today?

I think that’s where the Lefty comes into its own. It’s butter smooth. Small bump compliance is absurd.
still the best fork I have ever used in that regard, nothing came close....for an XC bike, i'd take one over anything else...feel, light weight, stiffness.....if they made one that worked on my enduro bike, i'd certainly be interested

The Lefty 50 hub will work with all Lefty/Ocho/Oliver models. A spacer is needed for the axle on SuperMax, Lefty 2.0 and Ocho. The Lefty 60 only works with SuperMax, 2.0 and Ocho.

So similar to how a non-Boost hub with end cap adapters will work with Boost forks, but Boost hubs don't work with non-Boost forks.

I believe the older hubs were referred to SI (50) and SM for SuperMax (60). The SuperMax was a 160mm Lefty. If I remember correctly, @UtahJoe has or had one.
So I have a 29er supermax that was off of my 2014 trigger...I actually still have it, I should try and sell it....im forgetting if the Ocho (I have one of this as well) uses the same hub as the supermax, I think it does, but id have to check. I don't ride my scalpel much anymore....it has a brand new frame that c'dale sent me....I built it back up and took it for 1 ride to make sure everything was working properly....I still can't believe how good that fork is for 100mm.

Pinky Race Prep. BB overhaul. Pulled and cleaned crank and drivetrain. New chain. Polish to make the NYers uncomfortable because my bike is pink 😂

He can buy it off you for half in 6 months though 😂
Nice plan except I can't sell anything of what I buy, looks like. If I were to depart this valley of tears prematurely somebody will have a hell of a deal if my wife decides to sell my bike stuff pricing it according to what (she thinks) I paid for it...

Got this from @Paul H last week to install as his donut compressor wasn't doing the job. Tried with my 20G with no luck either. Also used the strap method to push the beads down and the inner tube trick to pop the beads then take out tube then pop the other side. It took almost 40 psi to seat beads. Any other options I've missed? I'm guessing it was run tubeless at some point with this combo?

I normally have to hit at least 50psi to get beads on new tires to seat. If you can get most of the bead seated except for one spot you can try using a door jamb to get the trouble area seated. Put the wheel/tire with the unseated area in an open door jamb, close the door just enough so that it pinches the tire just a bit to hold it in place, and slowly pull the tire/wheel away from the closing door to get the bead to seat against the rim. I read about this on Pinkbike a few months ago and used it when trying to seat new tires on my gravel bike. Just make sure you use a solid door otherwise you risk prying the hinge right out of the door frame. Ask me how I know...

Was the valve core removed?

I use an Airshot with the valve core removed to seat the tire bead. Sometimes it takes 2 tries but it hasn't failed me yet.

i use an air compressor w/ valve core removed, the soapy water trick wiped around both sides seems to help (at the very least it shows if you there are still unseated spots)

When this happens to me, new rim tape with an extra layer or two always does the trick.

+1 on some sort of bead lubrication. The pre-made stuff from Schwalbe or just soapy water applied with a sponge works. I've always done this since I first started using UST rims/tires over 20 years ago. Coming from the automotive world, the idea of lubricating the tire before seating was automatic to me and something I did from day-one.

Another +1 on usually needing a lot more than 40 PSI to get the beads to seat. I usually use a Joe Blow Booster pump.
