What have you done to your bike today?

I don't bother changing on the fly, my commute is less than a mile so I just walk home and deal with it there. My technique is generally similar to yours. I decided against breaking out the repair stand since it's buried in the closet which probably added 15 minutes to the task. Next time...

If I were commuting like you and others, I'd consider runflat tires. Not sure what the city bikes have but in China the tires are pretty cool and have Swiss cheese like holes for weight and dampening. I'll fish up some pics from the last trip
But here's a fairly popular one from Tannus

Chinese city bikes went from zero to too many in two years
they don't have corrals so can be locked and left anyway which is a good and bad thing. Someone does and collects the outliers so they can get regular use. I think the cost for the yellow one is 10 yuan for an hour, about $1.25 here.

I'm on Continental Touring Plus tires which are nearly impenetrable. I only get flats around the valve stem of the tube, but that's due to using cheap tubes. I only add air every 2-3 weeks, or whenever I feel extra sluggish.

Thickslicks yo
Do I come off as a hipster? Really?

I like the Conti's I'm running because they have a reflective belt on the sidewall and are pretty cheap. I've only gotten a few flats on these tires and they're all because the tubes fail around the valve stem. I blame it on cheap ass Performance Bike tubes.

fork came in today, shock tomorrow
expected to take it out this weekend, unfortunately I forgot to get a new crown race. Going to call around tomorrow for a FSA or Cane Creek race.

Swapped out the rear wheel and tire on my Moonlander. Easy right?
Tightened up the axle and took it for a test ride, 300 feet and the rear wheel comes lose and cocks.
Back to the shop. The threaded rod that goes into the barrel end with the lever had striped threads,
and pulled through. Damn. It seemed to be fine, threaded on just fine, but it would pull through when
you through the lever over. So I turned the rod in and let it protrude a little out the other side of the barrel
and welded the end into a ball that can't pull through. Must be cheap Chinese crap. All fixed anyway.

I haven't touched my race CX bike since Nationals. Yesterday I swapped out the flat tubulars and put on clinchers. The front derailleur is out of whack/will need to go to the shop. But that's about all the motivation I've had for CX.

I wonder if @Delish still has his bike encased in protective mud.... kinda like Han Solo when he was frozen in carbonite.

Han survived the process, I wonder about EO's bike though.

I've had this bike for two months and today was the first time I actually rode it.
Been riding a 26r for the last few months so expected it to feel strange. Did a test ride last week on my street and it felt okay, more plush than the Lenz Leviathan but much less flickable than the Zaskar 26r. After a few minutes at CR today, I knew the setup was not right. When I got home, I dropped the post a half cm, flipped the stem down and lowered the shock by 10 psi. Think I'll need to tweak the Pike, but will leave it for now. Tomorrow will be in 6mr for another test ride.

oh yeah, I hated the racing ralphs at CR, but should feel great at 6mr.

I always carry tools and shock pump for first few rides but fine suspension dialing (finding right volume spaces) might take a quite while

Aiiieeee... 😱 I am paranoid about doing that...

Rode the Colnago for the first time since buying the Grade. It was like going home, fit-wise. The Grade with its fat 32c tires definitely rides smoother and the carbon frame is definitely stiffer and disc brakes are nice... but on the road my body wants classic European racing geometry.
