We just had an earthquake....not figuritively, but literally. 5.8 epicenter in Wash. DC. Holy crap, that was a wierd feeling.
 
One of my guys was just about to cut something on a car sitting on the lift, damn thing moved right out of his pliers!
Wife felt it 14 stories up in Manhattan too.

Weird feeling. Makes you wonder how bad it was in Japan...
 
I felt it in Flanders, NJ.

My first thought was that perhaps the clothes washer was off-balance and was banging on the wall as things were jiggling around. Nothing fell/broke though as far as I am aware.

It seemed to last about 15 seconds.

It does have to do with general biking though cause it can affect bike things, right? Like trees down and TM and stuff. 🙂
 
I was out on the road bike and must have just missed it. As soon as I came back inside somebody asked "did you feel anything outside?" I wasn't sure how to answer the question... Then she said the building was all shaky and she was wondering if our new office was falling apart.

When I got to my desk, everybody was talking about it. I'm bummed that I missed it.
 
Gah! I just moved back here from California! I thought I was done with this nonsense! Glad I was in a single story building. These things scare the hell out of me. Been through too many.
 
Down here in Virginia we felt it!

Was rather scary actually, can't believe you guys felt it all the way up there!
