Wildlife

We went snowshoeing in Sterling today. I was noticing that animals had been foraging at the base of ledges. After seeing it repeatedly I narrowed it to deer due to the tracks. I wondered what they were finding and was thinking that maybe the base of ledges was a better place to forage because things like acorns might fall and collect there. That was until I came to a boulder that I was familiar with because I took a picture of a very wet dog in front of it a few years ago and realized the the deer are eating the lichen off the rocks. They must be getting very hungry.
