wouldn't do a full moon ride on that bike....lock it to a radiator.

do you get to meet Nastassja Kinski? oh, wait, that was cat people. er, Michelle Pfeiffer, yeah, that's the ticket!

I read somewhere in FB that East Hampton just approved legislation to capture and neuter female bears. I heard that it will cost a small fortune.

I think we should have counseling that focuses on the male bears, why they see the need to impregnate with such frequency, and have them realize that there are other things to do than reproduce. Perhaps provide them with other means to satisfy their urges. I really think a frank discussion on abstinence here with the male bear population would go a long way and I think that these bears will really be inclined to listen.

single pronged approach? No all will listen, even with the reduced spread of disease, and the unnecessary fighting (i guess they are at work?)...

what about protection? it isn't fair to count on the female all the time.

they should channel some of that energy into eating deer.

I think you really hit on something here- perhaps a more pointed discussion on food sources, and how the deer (last count - 8,457,213 in northern NJ alone) have so much to give in that respect. I suppose a bonus to this is that when full from a meal, you are less inclined to procreate and more inclined to fall asleep. This would certainly kill two birds with one stone.

just read the write up by @Dave02 about the coyote attack last October
pretty crazy, anyone seen one this year?
I know some use an air horn for bears, what about coyotes?

I don't think coyotes are a problem - they rarely attack humans and usually because they are rabid. Where I go hunting in wisconsin there are huge packs of them (hear them howling at night, really make a racket), but you rarely see one and they are very skittish.

Rabid coyotes .. soundz more dangerous than bears.

Haha yeah all I see is a stick in the trail. What is this??

It's a high res pic with no digital zoom, I'm probably within 5 to 10 feet of it but didn't wanna get too close but also didn't wanna ruin picture quality by using digital zoom. Might be able to see it better on a bigger screen, or by zooming in on the pic. Tried to post it in a way that it stayed high res. It looks like you can tap the pic on mobile to view it better.
