XC Ski on Friday the 31st??

Thinking of heading out around 10am on Friday. There should be a frozen crust early so 10 should be OK.

Thinking of at least 2 hours. The more the merrier by far.

Is the lot clear to park btw??

I drove by the lot at 5:15pm Wednesday. It was not plowed and there is a 4'-5' wall of snow blocking the entrances. The closest place to park is the healthcare facility on Hospital Rd.

I'll plan to drive by again this evening to see if anything has changed.

Did anyone lay down tracks in Allaire yet? How bout 6 miles, any tracks there?
If these places are not broken in I was thinking of heading to Hartshorne Fri. morn. , I think trails are beaten in there.

I am pretty used to trail breaking. Growing up in Maine, I rarely skied on any tracks other than my own.

The Rail Trail parking area, also on Hospital Rd, was not plowed either.

J, where is this church. I started this post and then saw yours? I'd be up for meeting there too if I know where it is.

I believe the lot Ben speaks of is here. Zoom in, its called the Geraldine Thompson Care Center located on Hospital Rd. near Squankum Yellowbrook Rd. We can meet in this lot and walk across the street and lay down some tracks.

Hmmmm, that would insinuate that we are grow'd up. Not sure if I like that.

We had a great time too, but I am sleepy now and we have to be at our friend's for dinner in less than and hour.....and I am afraid that I am going to eat like a hungry wolf....again....

I calculated on the way home that we have done about 13 hours on the xc skis in the past week. Not bad.
