How did you find this forum and how long have you been on?

I can't even remember who told me about this forum. And I can't even remember when I joined.

I am curious how we all found out about it. It's been such a great place to get info about riding. I'm in Indiana, and people were able to give me great suggestions on where to ride. HOW COOL IS THAT!

Just curious.

Pretty sure I found it from MTBR as well. Been here since Oct '09.

I guess Wednesday is my 16th anniversary. Funny, that's less than 2 weeks before my daughter was born. Pretty much been on here her whole life.

I am sure it was from MTBR.
 
Summer of 2009 I was fat and out of shape. I had a three mile commute, so I grabbed my and my brother's shitty old bikes from my parents so that I could bike to work a few days a week to get in shape. The tires were dry rotted, the bikes didn't shift, etc. I decided it wasn't worth spending money on them, and I would just buy an entry level mountain bike. I probably googled around for info, found this site, learned about actual mountain bike trails, bought a much more expensive mountain bike than I would have ever imagined, and then I never rode it to work.
 
Back for the second time August 2010. However, I my first pass was when it opened which I found out about off of the ole Tristate Sportbike (TSSB) days courtesy of @Jason.

Isn't the join date in the profile? BTW, joined on 2010 after being pointed in this direction by the owner of NJDSM.org , an unnameable former member of this community...you can thank him for me! LOL It took me about 6 years to warm up to actually posting, another year to actually start riding...I'm slow in more than one way.
I have to say I very much enjoy being here, sorry if I rubbed someone the wrong way but I truly believe it's due to my poor ability to translate in writing my feelings (which I'm very much in touch with 😉).
 
July 2006. Holy crap.

Pretty sure I came across the site after looking for information on local trails after moving to the area in 2005. Got more involved after doing a few H2H races, DH40, Bearscat etc a few years later. Certainly took part in a few 500 post threads detailing intense local CAT 3 race battles.
