Ask an automobile mechanic.

Man o man that’s almost worse than the blatant mark ups on cars these days.

2019 with 30K doesn’t need MOST of that !

Air filter ok.
Surprised I don’t see “cabin air filter” change so they can charge you $200 an hour for that.
Oil change maybe but Cleaning crank case no thanks sounds ripe for someone to mess it up or just laugh when they don’t actually do anything.
How much do they charge to top off windshield washer fluid? I’ll do it for 1/2 what they charge
No way that car needs trans flush at 30K miles.
Maybe rear diff if I was being picky but doubt that’s what the maintenance manual says.

Just be careful if they PERFORM adding winter air to your tires.

that's what they quoted for our XT5 - gotta be close?
12 qts and a special machine to do the flush?
It isn't just a drain and fill.

it most certainly CAN be done as a drain and fill (ok so drain and fill would be like an 80-85% change, but still), pan needs to come down anyway since the filter is inside, and on some of them its integrated into the pan (yea wtf thought THAT was a good idea??)

i think most autos are 12+ qts these days, the 8 speeds especially, but the zf 8 speeds are filled with a 'lifetime' fluid, i mean we know thats BS, but 30k is still too soon.

ZF fluid is $$$$ i think it was like $12-$15/qt last time i checked.

Another thought here. Though it might seem like another unnecessary expense, if it hasn't been done previously, it's probably not a bad idea to replace the battery. ~4 years seems to be a roughly typical lifespan for a battery in a modern car and it's a lot better to do it pre-emptively.

Have you ever prices Mobil1 AFT?

Any battery recommendation for a bmw? Wife's 2017 is likely overdue.

they all suck these days, i go straight to the wholesaler and buy em there, at least i get a decent (relative to the big stores) price.

you are definitely on borrowed time there, 4 years is average lifespan for a car battery these days.

Nothing is simple with a modern car. Apparently the new battery needs to be "registered" in order to work properly. Went down rabbit hole of discussions on whether this is really needed and whether it can be DIY with a code reader.

i have a code reader that can supposedly do this, but i dont own a car that needs it, not sure who besides bmw does this, maybe @Glenn Rides After 4 PM CST would know
