Hi Everyone,

Registered a few days ago and just now getting around to posting my intro. Wow, what a great site we have here. I have been checking out a number of the forums on the site and there is no doubt there are a lot of really quality folks as members who do whatever they can to help others. Love the humor, too!

Anyway, name is Bob. 44 years old this past January and just getting back into riding after a pretty long layoff. Bought my first bike, a C-Dale M500, from Halters back somewhere around 1991 and had a great time on it. Then marriage, kids, work, etc. intervened and got away from it.

Reality hit me hard this past October when my Dad passed away at 67 from heart problems and I resolved that I wouldn't let that happen to my kids. What better way to get back in shape than getting back on the bike? So here I am, excited to get back in the swing and also to have such a great resource as this site as I get back into it.

I still have the M500, but looking to get some a little more modern in the next week or two. Hope to meet some of you on the trails in the coming weeks.

Bob

Welcome! Good to have you on board. Do you like scrapple?

Agree, go back to Halters.

Welcome, we have 3 things in common already...I'm 44 my name is Robert and I was an old goat, until I started riding again.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I will certainly check in with Halters. And no, I don't like scrapple!

Ok, well so much for the shining promise of this guy. Where do we dig up these people anyway? What's wrong with compressed pig nose, lips, and asshole?

I wonder if they make scrapple biscotti.

And why is Firefox telling me that scrapple is not a real word?

Welcome. I appreciate your use of paragraphs and punctuation. It is great to see new arrivals that actually understand how to communicate using the English language. 😀

Halter's is now located on the other side of the parking lot.

Great stuff!

Mike, I go with Pork Roll, although my Mom calls it Taylor Ham. Even the people at Taylor call it Pork Roll, so I'm sticking with that.

Norm, as regards scrapple I may have been hasty in my opinion. It actually may be the perfect food; all the ingredients you mentioned in your post packed in a convenient cake of lard for easy frying. I never could work up the nerve to try it myself. The only people I have actually witnessed eat the stuff is my grandfather, my uncle, and everyone in Scranton, PA. So I shouldn't have said I don't like it. I should have said I'm scared of it.

Keep em coming.

Bob

I agree Jeff....:hmmm:

Welcome oldgoat, remember that you are only as old as the people you ride with.

True enough! I just assumed I would be a little older than most folks here, and I couldn't think of any other name when registering.

**Disclaimer** The term "Oldgoat" used in reference to my age of 44 should in no way be taken as a disparagement of of any other person, or goat, who is now or ever will be age 44 or older.

Seriously, I really don't think of myself, or my generation of being "old" in any way.

Bob
