Baseball is my heart. I grew up playing it and played in college. I miss it dearly however I have moved on (obviously). Camden Yards is a fantastic place to watch a game and coincidently enough Cal Ripken Jr is my all time favorite ball player.

yankee fan here who is seriously considering becoming an A's fan.

i love good pitching and for the past few years, the yanks mgmt just can't seem to understand that a score of 15 to 9 SUCKS even if you win.

I WANT PITCHERS AND IT SEEMS WE HAVE A PILE OF SUCK.

I'm watching the Rays and Redsox right now.

I played through high school. A number of years of softball after that. I come from a long line of Yankee freaks. Dad has a Saturday package of Yankee tickets. He'll be at opening day also.

I don't have a team. I'm a fan of a good game. Reggie Jackson was the man when I was a kid (#44).

loved him to when i was young

he saved the game after the strike...now someone need to save it after all the steroids.

seriously considering becoming an A's fan.
i compared the yanks to an old car you keep throwing maoney at but cant seem to get it back the way you remember it running. oh and go for it...the A's thing

Some one will come up. It may be a few years yet but the game has been through alot in all of its time. This really is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I <3 Camden Yards.

the other good thing about going to oriole park is that if you need to you can make it a day trip...kinda long day trip but doable. for the record i do keep it local by going for the MUTS as well

Lets go Yankees...!!

They got off to terrible starts before.. and ended up doing just fine...

:rofl: when C.C. got pulled in the 4th monday the who place was cheering and singing along with "im back...back in a new york groove" payed a lot of money for no Ks and barely 4innings of work. baseball is a long season and the O's are a up and coming team. got some solid players like jones in center and markakas in right, brian roberts is an awesome at 2nd. i dont expect anything from the orioles well because i've been a fan for 20some odd years and thats the way it is when you're an O's fan.

My work recently made its tickets available to us "normal" folk for a discounted price. For a measly $1300 a family of four can get into a Yankee game🙄

Sounds fun.

I'll keep an eye on the Yankees, mybe even watch a game or 2 before I remember baseball on tv bores me.

Willie Randolph was always my favorite Yankee.

Well maybe that's speaking to something bigger...Sounds like even the brass doesn't want to shell out that kind of cash to go see a game. I think there will be an initial surge of people coming to check out the new place for the first few months...But it will be interesting to see what happens to the unsold tickets later in the year, especially if we don't see any upturn in the economy.

I was a Mets fan growing up, but I've really fallen out of it...I don't even know who is on the team this year. I'll go to a few games to check out the new field though. It's always a fun day regardless of whether or not you know who is on the field.

They just picked up Sheffield. Now they just have to figure out where to put the old man in the field. 🙄

He is going to bitch and moan his way off that team.
Unlike the last few teams he was on, the Mets are paying him next to nothing. They just didnt want him going to Philly..

I mean, he has got to be a total pain the ass if Detroit owed him 13 mil, and then dropped him...

So they paid 13 mil for a guy they dont even want as a pinch hitter...

excerpt from a book i own titled, this date in ny yankee hating:

april 9, 1925: babe ruth collapsed in asheville, NC. a few days later, he entered st. vincent's hospital, in NYC. he remained there until may 29 with the "bellyache heard 'round the world." his illness is was a major reason for the yankmees' seventh-place finish in 1925.

i'm a red sox fan. in all of sport, there is no team that i hate more than the ny yankees. the only even close second is any team from philly.
