Last Winter this stuff vanished just as I was starting to appreciate it.

It's already showing up at my local beer emporium and I'm stocking up 😀

I was wondering this weekend (as I finished off another Allagash) why we like certain types of foods at different times of year. Do you know of any alcoholic anthropologists on the site that could chime in?

I'm gonna get you one of these:

That picture is more appropriate than I care to think about. Thanks.

When you get down here to civilization you'll have to check out Wanamassa Liquors, 2201 Sunset Ave in Ocean (right off Hwy 35). It's beer-nerd city.

I will check it out... Thanks

I believe it is genetically coded into us since we were living in hunts... Think about it, our ancestors spent their springs and early summer foraging for food, clothing, building supplies etc... Drinking and eating heavy provisions just wasnt conducive to getting things done... Way over thought😱

That reminds me. I need to start stocking up for December 5th. I'll have to give this one a go.

I'm a big fan of Founders Breakfast, Brooklyn, and Storm King. I'm going to need a refresher course soon.

You guys should add your contributions on the bottom:

What's December 5th? End of the season?

Yeah, assuming I'm in the C class still I'll start the beer drinking season at about 9:42 am.

*mental note, pencil in 12/6 as a vacation day at work

Hey, how do I contribute to that wiki page? I spent a whole 30 seconds trying to figure it out before coming back here to let someone do my thinking for me.

I went to some bar on Main St at the uDel grad a few months back. It was called Weeds or Homegrown or something cookey like that. I told the bartender. MotherFer hook a brotha up with something tasty. He slid me this and damn I was blown away! Every time I took a drink it was like heaven and it felt like it lasted an eternity. He told me it is mainly sold on the DE/MD border where there is only about a liquor store every quarter mile.

BUT this weekend, my girl surprised me and bought me a pack at Wegmans!!! 9% alcohol. This is fun stuff!

I was going to give you a pass on entry #1, but then you said it had to be in bottles. Always cans!

if there is one thing that i can say i know better than pretty much anyone on the board, it's bud products. i will NOT drink bud from a can ever again. for whatever reason, the way it reacts with the can gives it a funny taste. and trust you - me, i tried in vain to get by it. i have $1,000s in expense reports to prove it.

i also won't drink bud light from a bottle.

weird but true.
