I rode/raced at Launch a couple of times back in the early 00's (simply called Spring Mtn back then). We sometimes wondered if we could ride up the mtn faster...

Lol, just saw this. Too true. Finally got to Creek today to test out the new whip. Bad ass! Riding uphill is for suckers 😛

That is a sweet ride and well kept by Ritchie young Robs former boss. I saw Mauricio yesterday at creek with his Transition 500, that thing is just sick...
 
so im planning to head up here on sunday with some friends. we all have only hardtails and ride XC only..so we are going to rent bikes. I know i wont be doing anything crazy or getting air...so im thinking to save some money and just rent their XC bike instead of the full on DH setup. Does anyone know if mountaincreek will have an issue with that? ive already ridden a hardtail down one of the blue trails this year during an adventure race...so i know what kind of stuff ill be on, i just dont want to have a big hassle on my hands when i get there in case they dont want their xc bikes being used on some of the DH trails.
 
aaron, do it right, its totally worth it. i showed up with my 29er HT and decided to rent a bike, best decision
 
Go big or go home
You will get the most bang for your buck going with a big banger. Trust me their is plenty to ride where your not over your head.
 
Rent a bike, the trails vary big time there.


There is a reason companies produce downhill bikes: they tend to work very well going downhill.

My plan was to go both days this weekend but I am stuck in Maine. I hope to be back for next weekend though. And every weekend after that till closing.
 
Cool. Me too.
It was awesome. I was solo and got in 8 or 9 runs in 2hrs. A little end of season choppyness but no mud and cleared a few of those roller gaps with SPEED! Felt good (knock on wood for next time)
 
I'm now a season pass holder. I'll be there at least once per week through the end of the season. GT Fury is on order for next year. 😀
 
Get the h outta here! Awesome!!! This weekend (sat & sun) I got ish to do in the early afternoon so I hope to make AM session whichever day works better. Just sayin to whoever is reading.
