Yeah, I saw that one too. Much like the segment name in the OP, I doubt this name was intended the way someone like myself who lost nearly all of my family there sees it.... Or so I choose to believe.

It is that time period that crystalzed my view on censorship.

The freedom to provide a dissenting view, safe from persecution is one of our most unique and cherished rights as Americans.

Does this blanket freedom allow for some elements to spew venom? Yes, yes it does, and that's ok, we as a nation can handle it.

I speak only for myself, but silencing voices scares me a hell of a lot more that anything an imbecile can spout off.

I practice what I preach, if that make me come off as self-righteous, that's ok too, I can live with that. I've certainly been called worse.

IMHO: If it offends, it is offensive. Semantic proof of offensiveness should not be required.

I fully expect Strava will take the high road here and fix it.

Thankfully. As appealing to folks to "self-police" was going nowhere quick.

^ I wouldn't count on it. Go do a segment search and type in the word "rape". There are more than a few segments that I'm sure would offend someone.

I can understand the OP's opinion. It really was unnecessary to name a segment something like this. Just one more a-hole in the world doing stupid stuff. Let's just hope they become KOM of "I'm here for the gangbang". That sounds like something an a-hole can be really proud of.

No, the "don't act" is in reference to my call to action of reporting the Segment. You're welcome to disagree all you like.

Totally unrelated to the topic, I really like the idea of a KOM getting to re-name the segment; it'll turn the type A pissing contest at the top up to 11. It'll be one, non-stop, middle school level food fight. The entertainment value alone to the remaining 99% of us would be priceless.
