Would have sucked to have found nothing in the second scan.

Just keep counting the years days and hours to the early retirement. Then you can get that part time job at an all women's correction facility you always wanted.

One day at a time, it's all you can do. Speedier recovery than the first, which has already been fast!
 
Ugh sorry to hear. At least the doc is good enough to be willing to admit they missed something and not keep it some mystery.

But hey, at least you get more opiates!

Home. Success. He got a nice big bone fragment out that was surrounded by scar tissue, so he thinks it was from my 2004 surgery and he disturbed it in May. He showed me and it was 5mm in diameter. Damn.

He had to dig and prod more than expected due to the scar tissue and I'm really really sore. Surprisingly sore. Severe sciatica pain into my left hamstring. I took Tylenol today and it did nothing. I just popped an Ultram for bed.

Honestly my left foot is already slightly better so that's a good sign. I'll just have to see how long the hammy pain persists.
