It's not Utah, but 7-10" yesterday at Belleayre was enough to toast my legs.

Snowmass, CO last week. Mon/Tue were groomer blue bird days but then things ramped up on Wed.
First 2 pics are from Wednesday. Couldn't see shit and it was windy and snowing hard (my favorite conditions) so getting pics wasn't on my mind. But a foot plus in spots of untracked in the woods I was skiing of very light snow. Had to ditch my buddies as they were slowpoking and aren't woods skiers. Best runs of the trip and probably top 10 in my life.
Last 3 are GoPro screen shots from last Thursday. Snow had settled and was windblown but wasn't cut up the first couple of chairs. Had some really fun fast turn open runs on the steeper blues (last pic). It was such a great feeling carving 4-6" of new at speed. And my friends fully enjoyed it which was great to share it with them.
Then I dipped into the woods. There was deeper snow and first couple of laps had untracked pieces (3rd pic you can see barely tracked snow behind me).
Other than potential for wind holds, could be a banner next couple of days. Aiming for Killington tomorrow before the storm, some night fatbiking at Pine Hill just as the snow begins, Pico for powder on Saturday and Slate Valley trails for fatbiking Sunday assuming the get the groomers out. 🤞
Killington was decent today. No lines at all, plenty of room on the slopes. A bit granular due to some rain the day before. South Ridge had the best snow as the sun softened it up nicely. Forecasting a foot tomorrow. Hope the winds don’t pick up too much.

Following up with my Whiteface Day 2. While it did snow quite a bit, by the time I got there, most of the summit runs had been already pushed into big powder piles with ice in between. Visibility was variable depending on altitude. Stuck to the lower runs most of the day and tried to avoid the crowds. Called it a day when the snow was sticking to the goggles and made visibility unsafe. Pretty happy with my first time there.
