Anybody do their own quick tunes? When the kids were younger they didn't need a tune as the skis got longer every two years. They gave up on skiing so it was just me and occasionally MrsQ for a while. 6-7 years later they are interested in going again and the skis were just about to get donated. But could use a quick tune. Bases are great, just needs sharper edges and fresh wax. Kits are about $100-200, is this an easy diy?
FYI, the newer Toko spray waxes are legit. They last almost as long as a hot wax with 10% of the effort.Find some time to come by the house the week of the 27th and I can help you out. Just sharpening, no waxing just yet in my portfolio.
You definitely don’t need to spend $200 though.
Though I have 4 sets... We used to wax skis in college but for some reason never sharpening. I'll be by, thanksFind some time to come by the house the week of the 27th and I can help you out. Just sharpening, no waxing just yet in my portfolio.

Yesterday we hit up killington on our way home from Rochester....it was what I expected for December...Less icy that I thought it would be to be honest. Man, does that rams head chair need to go now...what a piece of shit
Plenty of fresh pow tho and free refills 🙂

Great couple of days....Both sugarbush and Killington had pretty much no lines anywhere....wasn't too cold...opening of Mt Ellen on saturday was super fun...never thought I would have gotten to ski on fresh snow this weekend, so it was a nice bonus.
I bought new Zip fit liners last year on my last day in Utah....I got to use them once in Alta on a really warm march 29th day...like 55 degrees....was interested to see how they would be in the cold....I was really happy with them. My boots ALWAYS hurt my first day back and saturday my shins were hurting a bit and I was just opening the top buckles after every run......but sunday that was mostly gone....whats really awesome with the zip fits is the toe box area...my foot has never been so comfortable. Then i bought some Nordica enforcer 99s over the summer...First day trying them out. I had demo'd enforcer 100s in Utah before I enjoyed them. Nice all around, really good in the fresh snow on saturday and while they dont handle ice or carve as well as my Volkl deacons....they were still really good.
What boots are you in? Same q to @UtahJoe I been zip fit curious but been skeptical to go inquire with a punched/ground lv boot.Zipfits are by far the most comfortable liner I’ve used. Been in the same pair for about 12 seasons. They move to each new shell and I just sell the stock liners on eBay unused.
Lange RX130 LV. These are punched, my last pair were ground, no issues. They make various versions of the Zipfit liners depending on the volume of the boot. Then they are adjusted by adding or removing the Omfit (cork) from the pockets around the heels and in the tongue. Pretty easy to DIY too. What boots are you in? I’m in basically the same boot (Rossignol hero 140) just different boot board and name on the side. It’s a tighter fit but so damn comfortable once dialed in, scared to jeopardize that.Lange RX130 LV. These are punched, my last pair were ground, no issues.
