25-26 Ski and Snowboard Thread

Are they still 100% open? Hoping to get out 1 more time with my son but this week is looking rough for the snowpack.
Yes, but they only ran the quad yesterday so there are a couple of runs beyond Main Street that would be ridiculously hard to get to. The next couple of days weather won't help much. Supposedly Camelback is shooting for a very late closing date but it will probably only be Cliffhanger where they stockpiled snow.

Is that what's been going on? Cliffhanger has been closed the 3 times I've been there during the weekday this season

Not 100% sure. I messaged them asking if Cliffhanger was open because their daily snow report always has conflicting info. In the blurb it will say come ski Cliffhanger as it's ungroomed... Then they check the closed box with a big red X saying it's closed. I chatted with them on their site and was told it is closed and they have no idea when it will open. I also messaged them on FB the same day and they said, yes it's open and skiing great. WTF. I went to Blue.

What are y’all doing for passes next season? I bought the season pass for Blue since the kids are so damn cheap and the vip line is great for weekends. I’m thinking of doing an Ikon session pass since we will only get to VT maybe once or twice next winter. We’d do killington for two weekends so $1100 for the session passes vs $2k for window prices sounds good.

I get the full ikon passes for me and the family... Now that my son can ski whatever with me now, I think I get my money's worth... Plus I love Alta so need the full ikon to go there. My wife gets $420 off for being a nurse and my son has one more year of being $299... Plus 3 passes for the dh park that we usually use at Killington, that's $200ish there.

Been in Colorado all week with @Norm @2Julianas @Dominique ...weather has been beautiful... 3 days at copper so far, one at steamboat, one at winterpark.

Loved winter park, great tree skiing, lots of natural terrain....kinda flat, but I thought it was very fun

Steamboat was ok... Reminded me alot of deer valley... Very beautiful, everything was nice, but I didn't find the skiing overly interesting.

Copper I had been too and I thought it was a fun place... That was December 2013 and there wasn't much snow yet... With more snow, it's been really fun. Got some fresh snow on Wednesday... Bob and I did the short hike to union peak, super fun

Did you hit the Onion Roll at Copper?
The trees just pass there are great.

We've got some great pics launching off the cornice at the top of Sierra lift to the right.
can't find it right now - ask Bill's BIL

Damn, I miss that!

Onion roll is currently roped off, maybe too many rocks? Not sure

It's a really fun place.

Very nice. My '23 CO trip was Copper, WP, Steamboat, WP. Winter Park was definitely my favorite.

I was on the edge of getting the full Ikon but we haven't been able to gets up to NY/VT much or out west YET(I do have SLC and Jackson Hole connections that I need to use soon). We did Killington this year and they definitely want to go back, but it would probably be only one or two weekends. Blue is so convenient for us that it just makes sense for now. I think after one more season they will be bored of blue and want to take the drive up north more often. At that point we will be in for the full Ikon for all.

I buy the full epic pass. It was just over a grand for the pass this year. @UtahJoe always trying to get me to buy an ikon also. The big downside to ikon in my opinion is that you dont get unlimited access to alot of places on their pass.

Most of us don’t quit our jobs every winter.
