6 Mile Fri Jan 29 Ride

Freezing temperatures and no rain/snow. Trail should be frozen solid.

It's 41F right now. It takes a prolonged freeze to really make a difference. Firm maybe...I'm not convinced it will be frozen solid tomorrow. Be sure to come back and tell us how it is.

Tomorrow the high temp isn't going above freezing. It will be nice and solid on Saturday and Sunday.

Good point. However it's supposed to drop to 15F tonight.

I'll see how it goes. If I find the conditions are not ideal I will end my ride early and spare the trail.

the beast just woke me up to go out an my muddy back yard is froozen solid. and its 16 out there. oh yea i live like 4 miles from there

It should be good in most spots. The areas that may still be soft are the super muddy spots (concrete bridge, mud bog on Blue).

Personally, the thought of almost freezing cold mud in 17 degrees would keep me away until tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow and Sunday mornings will be perfect. I cant wait to get out there.

My cassette started skipping and I ended up not going.

However it's so cold outside I have no doubt everything will be solid frozen.

Having lived in Canada for 6 years I can say my cold weather tolerance is very good. However just getting to the parking lot today I noticed it was going to be a super cold ride. Need some toe covers!

i hope your new ss or your weiner is not carbon...in this cold you could snap your johnson or your frame
