it depend on the rest of the team.....Jay??? John ???

hey, omar! we're going to lewis morris on saturday, roll no later than 8:30 am. why don't you guys join us there instead and save jungle for later. i already did 2 face plants for this month's quota - ask josh, it was gnarly. i'll save jungle for next month. haha.

Meeting at the lot by the lake?

we usually park at that gravel lot right next to mendham road and where that yellow traffic light is located.

remember last time we rode there you guys left while john and i did another loop? just go straight across that road and that's the parking lot.

Don't forget - anyone who is thinking of riding JH this weekend - the air show is going on next door. Just make sure you give yourself extra time if you are going to be there during the day (very early or very late, probably not so bad). Yhey are using the JH parking lot to park the air show visitors, so esp. if the weather is nice, the place will be lousy with people and cars.

Bad course maps and GPS files are all up at our blog at www.teamtowncycle.com - we'll start marking the course starting next week.

Questions about the course - let us know!

I rode it today using the bad GPS link. Now I'm looking at the bad map and thinking the map is much less bad than the gps link. That gps track was all over the place.

We figured out most of it, though from the start to the Warthog doorway it's a little hard to really tell. Once you go past the Warthog doorway and down to the right, it was easy enough to follow.

Solid course, lots of rocks.

Looks like mostly tarmac kind of stuff from Start to the Warthog side (parking lot) entrance?

Pavement, dirt, pavement, dirt, pavement.

There was another dirt section but we really couldn't see how that looped in. So it may not be right.

It didn't feel like much pavement. Climbing is moderate but easy to blow up if you go too hard. I have to say that animal chute has become more difficult to fly up. Overall a challenging course, trails link up well and a nice variation.

I will be riding the course again tomorrow at 12:45 if anyone is still unsure of the route.

I'll be joining you. Post up if anything changes. See you then.

I am fighting a bad cough. Still going today...but it won't be at race pace. Had a hard time even making it up animal shoot yesterday.
