Biggest crash in stock market history?

I love this Trump quote from 2014....I can't imagine how badly Vlad SOILED himself when he heard this STERN talk from the Donald

[Putin] has done a really great job of outsmarting our country. He could not have been nicer. He was so nice. He is really very much of a leader. He said nice things about me,” Trump said in 2014, adding, “I like him because he called me a genius. Putin did call me a genius.

I'm sure he was sooooooo scared of a man who LATHERED up his ass every time he was given a microphone.

I agree, its been working and like I said...I have never REALLY worried about anyone nuking someone.....Like even the crazies such as kim jong un....I don't worry about them so much...they want to keep themselves isolated, prevent invasions and thus prevent people removing them from power.....its at least somewhat rational. With the Cuban missile crisis....I know things got close, however neither side wanted to use nukes.....if the Russian economy continues to tank, the Russians continue to fail to take the Ukraine.....losses keep mounting, more civil unrest....would he do something drastic? I'd like to think not, but negotiations often come down to a leader being able to save face somehow and I can't currently see that path at the moment.
That path is to let him have his land bridge to Crimea, which is where this entire thing will likely end up anyway (hopefully that's the worst that happens). He won't win the Ukraine, they won't go pro-Russia, but can declare his "victory" anyway. And once he's gone, that all goes back to Ukraine, since it doesn't look like he's grooming a Putin Jr.

Problem is we're not dealing with a logical opponent here. A backed into a corner Putin should terrify everyone.
I think that he is logical. Don't confuse logic with having morals and ethics. You can be cold, calculating, and ruthless but still be sane and logical. He is an ends justifies the means guy.

Unless he feels the walls closing in on him. The oligarchs may make a change of power in Russia. We'll see I guess....this war will not be super popular with them when the Ruble plummets to worthless and the rest of their assets are frozen internationally.
He's worked to cultivate an image of unpredictability and its worked. At this point am I convinced he won't try to press the red button? No, not at all. Our entire strategy on the other hand is to create a revolution and regime change in his country, and the oligarchs are the first place to start.

I think the oil sanctions are a bad idea though if the intention is to suffocate their cash flow. All they'll do is ratchet up the price of oil like is happening now, and Russia will just switch to alternative customers like China, and make even more money than they did before.

as of today, I dont see it....but thats today. I feel like if Russia swept across the country quickly and the Ukraine forces totally fell apart....Ya, they might settle for this. But now that Russia is struggling and has moved onto just leveling cities with bombs and artillery....killing civilians...That just breeds the kind of hated that doesnt go away. I feel like whatever Russia takes its going to have to defend it constantly. I'd love to be wrong and the killing to end quickly.

I think it was good to hold this back at least for now....russia is 8% of the worlds crude oil supply and while yes, we dont buy much of it...if that 8% goes off the market the price will still skyrocket....thus hurting us too. And as you mentioned, they will still be able to sell to china. I wouldnt say NEVER do it, but just not at this time.

Ive come her for financial plays not stocking up on ramen.

Can we keep this thread on topic unless someone is going to tell me how to financially benefit from nuclear war I'm not interested.

I got this, Max.

Back on track. Picture of @SLIK RICK with his NORBA 🏆 from "Back In The Day."

No one or country should really expect fair negotiations with Putin. Propaganda, poison oppositions, cheat. Honestly, would not be surprised if Russia bombs civilians while they are fleeing. Fear is his strategy through and through.

Put CNN on. They bombed a maternity ward of a hospital overnight.
