Pfft I was in junior high when we went to DEFCON 3 over the Yom Kippur war when the Israelis almost nuked the Egyptians and the soviets threatened to attack Israel. I was only 4 during the Cuban missile crisis so don't recall that one.

I will use the example of my local congresswomen, mikie sherrll.. Perhaps yours too depending on where you live.... I'm not saying she's good or bad... But I recall when I learned about her, I didn't know who she was running for and I couldn't easily find it.... But a graduate of the naval academy, helicopter pilot for the navy (sea kings which are as old as Rick... Imagine flying something as old as Rick as your job).. Jd from Georgetown, etc... Like insanely smart women..... Now I'm sure she would get 3 votes for president....

Meantime we have 1 guy whose qualification has basicly been his ability to out live his opponents.... The other spent many hours saying "your fired" and calling Rosie O'Donnell a fat pig on the stern show...
