Looking for tamping volunteers after the rain .. It has to rain someday!!!I was out there this morning and can attest to the dusty conditions. That new section of Cromwell trail is LOOSE right now but looks like it’s going to be lots of fun when the conditions improve. Kudos, guys.
Also, not sure if it’s me or Stop Sign got more flowy but I was linking nearly all the hits on my second time here. I can’t wait to go back.
Awesome, and thank you all for the work you’ve put in!@jdog and I were out there again this morning, super last minute. We continued the work to make the climbing trail more appealing (ie: smoother and less pitchy) so mtn bikers will stay off the gravel road. Super pleased with the results and hoping it rides well when burned in a bit. We just need to some minor finishing work next session and then we will move up to the last small connector re-route. Moving forward.
Also just a quick thanks for all the time you’re putting in J.
Please DO NOT smooth too much! it's a really good ride as is.@jdog and I were out there again this morning, super last minute. Don’t worry, the rocks always grow back. Please DO NOT smooth too much! it's a really good ride as is.
It’s funny because @Norm or @Kirt asked me to come out for one or two days. Think that was like 30 days ago.Huge thanks to you guys for the countless hours you've been putting in here!
Nope, it will remain a 2 way trail. The only planned 1 ways are the 2 current ones. This is only due to speed (or the speed after some rain) and a few features on those 2. Would really be hard to stop when flying down. I always prefer 2 way trails but the decision to do it for the middle 2 was out of an abundance of caution.Awesome, and thank you all for the work you’ve put in!
Is that climbing trail going to be a one-way up? Now it’s an amazing downhill, probably my favorite of the 3 there.. 2 way traffic there will be interesting.

Curious why deterring people from riding a gravel road?Nope, it will remain a 2 way trail. The only planned 1 ways are the 2 current ones. Too late. This is only being done up too the newish connector to the Shed Trail, nothing past that on the outside loop. A fair amount of it was already done. As Jason has stated (and I numerous times) we need to encourage mountain bikers to use the trails and not the gravel. Those gates will open at some point and there will be many other trail users. I've spend a ton of time there and the vast majority of bikers use the gravel, even the E-bikers. So we wanted to make this climb as easy as possible so there's no excuse. We need to avoid any conflicts between user groups. And honestly, after riding it today, I'm happy with the results. And will be even better with some rain.

I get that, but a gravel road would assume there is enough ROW for everyone to have their spot.it will be full of moms walking with strollers.
Have you ever ridden the D&R?I get that, but a gravel road would assume there is enough ROW for everyone to have their spot.
