Don't Call it a Comeback

Yes I can. I've never heard of it but got the general concept. I'll have to look at it more closely.

You can probably get feeds of half the stuff you used to read through it. Most publications have an RSS feed, though it will feed you everything.

Ok then. I've been dragging getting out the door this morning. I think I'm going to do hill repeats on Warrenville just to offset the mental lard that just accumulated from watching that.

Great success!!

I went to see my Ortho today. He gave the knee a full exam, pulled, pushed, prodded, and squeezed. No pain, no issues.

He was shocked at how quickly I recovered after 4 weeks. He said if he didn't know I was injured, he wouldn't know. It's going to take another 4 weeks to fully heal.

The main question was "Can I ride a bike??". He said absolutely. I said "Can I hammer?". He said yes, until I feel pain, it's fine. Just don't run

WAHOOOOOO!!! 😀

See you bitches out there soon. :getsome:

I'm going to ease into putting more pressure on it, and try to get back in shape on my vaca in Puerto Rico so I can make a comeback on Blue in Mid-sept

That awesome man! I'm glad to hear you are really on the mend. If you need some slow MTB rides hit me up I'll join you anytime and act as your boat anchor 😛

Wow, that's great news Ilya! Good to hear, let's ride Sunday 🙂

Congratulations Ilya!

Riding a bike is one of the best activities for knees - I bought the first mtb when could not run anymore...

I need to check to see what my window looks like. But hey, if not this weekend then we need to ride together soon. If you really want that kick, I'll save it for you. But if I see a Japanese camerman anywhere I'm out of there.

Probably later is best. Thanks for offering. The kick and the ride.

So here's my near-term healing plan

August 12-22nd I'm in Puerto Rico for family vacation. I'm taking the cross/road bike with me (thanks Kirt for the hard case). My family is apprehensive about this, but I assure them that they will be still sleeping when I get back from my rides.

I spoke for a long time with owner of a local bike shop at Hot Dog Cycling. The dude sounded like a Puerto Rican Jeff Spicoli, great guy, surfs and rides bikes every day. He said there are some sick routes, and incredible climbs.

August 23rd - Doing the Livestrong Philly Century. If I need to, I can turn off at 45 and 70 mile marks. Hopefully I won't need to ...

September 12 - Jorba

September 13 - Blue.

I can imagine riding in PR will be awesome.... Bring a camera. (and a bike lock)
