It was a great doing enduro format for the first time.  I thoroughly enjoyed it much more than hot laps.  Also, the trails here are NWWWICE.  Great flow and a good mix of everything, roots, rocks, boulders, and berms!  Great job VMBA
I totally missed the S1 clock out and had to double back like 50 feet.  S1 & 2 was pretty normal.  S3 a boulder section.  S4 and 5 was brown pow descents!      The transition from 2 to 3 was longest and uphill.  The 650b! hardtail did great but it was tough.  The rocks tend to steer a HT where you don't want to go where as you just float over them on a FS.  There were definitely some booters I wished I had a full suspension for.  At the end of S5 you could definitely launch off this pretty big roller.  I normally don't ride a hardtail on rocks but my freeride bike would be too much for enduro.  If any of you have any ca$h to give me, PM me.  Turner Burner?! :hmmm:
Some things I didn't like was the one guy said pass but kept pedaling while there was really no room to pass safely.  DUDE you have to just stop pedaling and move over.  Eventually I passed while he was still moving but I definitely got held up but I tried to be nice and calm because I wasn't going to win anyways and you always listen to the Rule#1 have a good time and don't be a dick.  I think they should do heats at the beginning to avoid waiting a cold.  Or just get to the start before everyone else is a good plan for the future.
One last great thing about this race was seeing all the bling I like.  Full suspension, dropper posts, 26" wheels!, big stanchions! and all sorts of dope non hardtail shit you don't see at a cross country races.  Oh, and I was lucky enough to walk away with some optics to replace the only pair I had and lost at the 100miler.  Solid
And I saw a 29er FS OTB due to it's high center of gravity
