Hi Everyone,

I'm new to mtbnj! I've met a few of you already at the Tuesday night Allaire rides, and met some more of you yesterday at the Sunday Fun Day. Everyone I've met so far has been wonderfully supportive and friendly. 🙂

My boyfriend (Capedoc here) and I like all kinds of outdoor stuff and are both avid kayakers and enjoy camping and hiking. We are always up for meeting new people to enjoy our activities with.

Been riding my bike more seriously now for a year. I live by Allaire, and have been playing on the noob-friendly trails while I learn some basic bike control stuff while getting to know my new friends Speed, Logs, and Roots. Yesterday I switched my platforms for clipless so we'll see how many falls it takes til clipping out becomes second nature - video below for your entertainment!

Looking forward to being more active with this group and meeting more of you!

Hey There, chick thats sitting 10 feet away in the other room!

welcome!

Now go put your bike attire on so we can go out for more "clipless pedal fail"

Oooo! First post and including pictures. Nice job. Now go work on those clipless pedal skills.

BTW: we have all done the slow motion tip over cause we can't get our feet out of the pedal fall. You are not alone.

Word. Years ago I did it at a stop sign only to see the bottom of a dump truck's bumper when the action stopped:scared:

Welcome aboard.

And shortly after you performed a perfect clipless fall... I did the same, just lucky Drew didn't take any pictures. 😉

Anytime you want to practice at Allaire, I'll come down...

So much fun yesterday! Thanks everyone!

One of my friends picked up some clipless pedals. I hear he is now quite afraid of any downhill jams.

My first clipless fall was in front of a group of Aussie dudes...I drew blood...very humiliating.

WELCOME, noobs no longer!

Welcome aboard... as you can see and read we have all done the "Oh $hit" fall it is great when you can do it in front of a crowd....
see you on the Tuesday rides...

That was a good one. On my first group road ride I fell over unable to get my foot out, and crushed the front wheel of the guy that was unlucky enough to be near me at the time.😱 Great riding and hanging with you, and we have to think of an excuse to do it again, some where else?:hmmm:

Welcome, not just a photo but a cartoon effect.

My first clipless fall (that I remember) was when I just got the road bike and was riding with some serious road rider from my area I had met and when I pulled into my driveway I couldn't get out in time and went right over. Thankfully I actually had the sense to steer a little closer to my grass and went right over into my plantings. I was cracking up, however the guy never answered my calls to ride again! An mtbnj'r would have been laughing with me.

Took Tracy (Happigirl) to Manasquan Reservoir for her first ride on the clipless pedals.

As we approached the pedestrian stop sign, she fumbled a bit, fell on one of those annoying yapper-dogs and crushed it.
