Am I the only one that has a hard time navigating reverse with a bike on the bike rack? Especially at night where blocks the rehearse lights. Anybody have any advice or tips to make it easier?

If nothing else, I can’t be the only one that feels this pain, am I?

lol at the flames. I’m with everyone above RE not relying on the camera much, having been around in the no-camera time. However it is most helpful to check proximity to an obstacle, which is arguably a bit more important with the rack on the car, and yes much more difficult to do especially at night.

I can't help you with your loss of age 17 driving skills, but $10 LED backup bulbs off Amazon make a huge difference for seeing when you backup. Unless your rack completely blocks the lights.

this is all you need....whatever is in the middle doesnt matter, run it over

Actually I drove one of these for 4 years.....cured me from ever needing a backup camera....that said, I did once back up and flatten a picnic table (unoccupied I think) at cliffs ice cream with it once.

Ok some of You’s are full of it….

And I should clarify, the difficulty comes with depth. It’s a 3 bike rack so when I’m backing into spots it can get a little dicey.

Yes I can use side view mirrors. I can back up a trailer like a champ.

My car beeps like iits dying when I back up with the rack on. The noise is truly deafening and I have honestly tried to disable it but can’t seem to. I too channel my 20yo self for the visuals. And turning around while holding the passenger headrest gives a nice spine stretch.
