Going Long and Hard.

Its going to have a space where you can help dig for fossils. There's a viewing windows into the lab area to see them working on fossils. It's a really cool Museum, plus there's a Chick-Fil-A right there and a Raising Canes not far.

We got tickets for today because my kid wanted to come too. Been looking forward to it since they announced the opening.

Also have 6-week news, I start actual outpatient PT this morning in like an hour. Was supposed to start next week but they called and had a spot open up so I’m in!! I’ve been off the bike this week in prep to walk a lot today and tomorrow. We’re only 2 weeks away from possibly going back to work, especially as hard as it’s been to get anywhere with Disability. Not that we’re hurting for the money, but we’re not that far away from hurting for the money.

Slice pizza is close by too. They have a pretty good vegan spicy meat lovers pie. And vegan donuts.

Looks awesome, pity it's more than 2 hours from where I live.

It’s definitely not close but worth it if you’re a dork. I’d wait until the Quarry is open so you can dig up fossils to make it worth the drive. Right now only a little over 1/2 of the facility is open. The creature area is getting a monitor lizard, which is pretty cool for you people that don’t own one already.

It’s down in Rowan.
Ah, (more than) a few years ago we got selected to go dig for fossils in Mantua, NJ, in an old greensand quarry that they opened to small groups one day a year. That was cool. Had to catch a shuttle bus from the Lowe’s nearby. My kids were too small to appreciate fossil hunting at the time, but it was a huge sandbox for them to dig & dirty up. That was near Rowan, maybe related.

Has to be related. It’s South Jersey, where everything is related 😂

Sounds like the same exact quarry, the museum is built next to it, and it's right behind the Lowe's, lol.

Second day pushing myself.

Morning went to get my eyes checked and buy new glasses. Hobbled around Costco.

Trained into NYC for Meshuggah. Lots of stairs and people getting out of Penn Station and up into the Garden. Stood in all of the merch lines to buy things. Then went down a ton of stairs to my seat. Was a lot of effort but very worth it.

This morning I rode my kid’s commuter to PT. It’s OK on the way in but after the ladies break my will to live in PT, I can’t ride home yet. I can barely walk out of the office 😂

Saturday.

Doing my home PT. The ladies gave me about an hour worth of exercises to do per day. It’s interesting how much weight I can actually put on my leg without being able to walk without support. I don’t know what part of my pelvis these muscles pull on that’s different doing step ups vs just walking?

Drawing Class. This was a fun session. Trying to figure out a class to do when I return to the bike full time. Saturday at 2pm isn’t going to work. Jude hosts a session some Sundays at 7pm that would be cool.
