H2H Question?

I registered already for the first two. Once I do that, I'm committed. Also, I think the promoters would rather see gradual registrations rather than everyone waiting until 2 hours before the deadline. I guess part of it stems from first year racing Cat 5 CX when staging was by registration order.
 
I hear you, I am not so concerned with weather but more with covid, i.e. if the races will actually happen.

Yeah. This was a problem last year because the promoters couldn’t plan accurately. There were races that almost canceled and then 150 people register the night before. They really do need an idea of who is showing up so that COVID safety measures can be implemented...
 
i have no plans on buying the license for this year. i bought one for 2020 and raced zero races that required one so i got a little burned by that. (BTW i killed that auto renew thing... F that)

i actually enjoyed not having to worry about any major races in 2020. i did monster cross in richmond before COVID and i did mountain man in october. it was honestly really nice to just go for a ride and not worry about food or training or sleep or travel.

for this year, i don't really know what i want to do. i have no desire to kill myself with race after race although there are a few i would like to do if they happen (MTBNJ's stewart race for one). but i'll buy day-of licenses for those.

My license auto renewed. Ugh. Oh well. I plan on racing a lot this year, all over if possible, so I guess it'll pay off. Not planning on H2H though this year. If I do race on of those, it'll be last minute.
 
I've never really understood why H2H was USAC but since I didn't do many and had a license anyway for Cx it didn't matter. I was considering Mayhem but with the uncertainty that still hangs over the season I'm not renewing yet.

I would assume most of the H2H races are still USAC. MTBNJ doesn't have anything on the plate right now. But if we do, we won't be USAC. This assumes the independent insurance orgs still exist after this last year.
