Yes, Mike Maney was one of the photographers - he was set up on Strimples Mill when we came through. He posted this on the HoH FB page - and I'm sure he's still uploading/processing all the photos.
A lot more images coming, but thought this one captured the spirit of yesterday's ride. In between the grimaces of pain on the ascents and the four letter salutes to Brian on some of the hairier descents, I saw tons of riders having a blast on a great course.

My 1st HoH and it was a good time. Perfect weather, tons of peeps.
You needed to be in the back and slow, then you would have seen them..

Was a great ride and pretty different than what I was expecting. Lost my garmin 4 miles in at the first or second gravel section. Road with the Cognition people a bit at the beginning, road with my friend Jim until I found out he was planning on cutting out the more technical downhills. Latched on with my friend Ken who did this ride as a what-the-fuck-was-I-thinking ride. Was nice to provide him with support and didn't mind the slower pace for the second half of the ride. Mitch was nice to ride with until we hit a hill and I didn't feel like killing myself. Singlespeeders...
With my pace not being crazy for the second half I didn't find the ride to be that bad. It's funny how just going a little slower makes the ride that much easier. Finished with no real aches, Sunday I got out and did an easy ride with no real aches or soreness. Not sure if I want to do the ride again next year but if I do I'll be aiming for a time. I'll probably sign up as registration will come up in the middle of the winter and once again it'll be a nice goal to hit for. Second road ride outside this year, last one being an easy 45 mile ride two weeks ago in New Orleans which I think had a total elevation of 50 ft so I was a little concerned going into this.
The ride was super well organized. From the parking to registration to start etc was super smooth. With all the info given beforehand there was no confusion. I'm usually not a rest stop kind of guy but the rest stops had a really social feel as it seemed everyone was there for the second larger one, that was where it seemed people shuffled riding partners. The beer tasted too good since I had to drive. I wasn't exactly hungry but the food was good and I would 100% do the ride again purely for the stroopwaffles. In fact I snagged one and ate it Sunday with my morning coffee and that may have been the best part. Fuck those are good.
Someone found my Garmin 705. I think this is the 3rd time I've lost it in a race or ride and got it back from someone finding it. I want to upgrade damnit.

Why the hell was I alone?🙂 That must have been the 200 meters where I wasn't in a group either behind or in front of somebody or the peeps I was riding with.
