Yeah I scolded the wife for making the appointment for 4pm on a Monday. I knew she would have left for climbing by then. Ha. Dr John was super awesome and Tuna decorated that poor tech's stomach with claw marks when she tried to cut Tuna's nails.
I told Maria to make the follow up at a more appropriate time.

Cutting nails??? The dewclaws yes but the others NO; at least not on a dog built to run like Tuna is. Some may argue that if left unattended they may split or splinter.

Just busting a new dog owner. That said no way in hell should you be cutting that dogs nails in the summer, fall or anytime she could be ran. In the 9 years I've had Fiona I never had her nails clipped. When they made too much noise in the house I just ran her. To each his own though.

Fiona has split nails on me as well. I just kept running her, lol
