I'll just have one of my vzw riding buddies create a wifi hotspot and I'll connect to that.
Oh, verizon blocks that ability on all their phones? OH NICE SERVICE.
Seriously where is there vzw coverage and no AT&T? nowhere.

Actually you know the only place without cell signal? Inside a god damn home depot. But they provide wifi and if I had t-mobile I could make phone calls over their wifi.

I use my 6 plus as an LTE hotspot everyday :hmmm:

I pay the $40-per-device monthly line charge and $42.50 for my 4gb data plan which includes the hotspot.

Yes, technically I'm paying for it, but I'm not paying for it - technically 🙄

I have the samsung galaxy S5 with 4.4.4 (whatever stupid candy name that is). What's the big deal about the latest android version? I never notice any difference when I've upgraded over the years.

AT&T is second in coverage. I remember seeing some 3rd party company did a huge study and VZW was the best or tied for the best in almost every state.

I'm not trolling here... but I just started a new position in Marketing so I feel the need to advocate. [emoji1]

T-MOBILE is apparently terrible. They're cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Oh germy. I don't care how good their coverage is when their phone selection is for shit and its like national news when they update a phone in less than a year. And why do they dick with the operating system anyway? Permacookies to track their customers?
The radio settings in the RIL file can be updated outside the OS. As can the kernel.
Oh thank God they installed vznavigator. It's so useful for only $8 a month if you have trouble finding the Google maps icon.

TMO is f'ing amazing in the city and great enough in NJ. My VZW LTE work phone doesn't even get a signal underground when my TMO personal does. And I can hot spot anytime, no charge if your phone has the feature. I can stream netflix all day on the commute. Also, why hate $100 bucks a month for 4 phones for everything!

Verizon sucks, AT&T sucks...I chose T-Mobile and buy unlocked phones. Oh...and anything Apple sucks as well. End of my rant.

You can do that with android phones. My buddy runs his whole office on 22" android tablets with mouse and keyboard running a remote desktop to a Windows server.

Just plug a USB hub into a android USB port and plug in a mouse and keyboard. Get the mhl adapters from ebay for a few bucks. That's what turns the phone I into a USB host. There are hdmi mhl adapters for a little bit more so you can plug an android phone into a monitor or tv.

Anything modern. It works with my old s3 my nexus 7 and my HTC one
I usually do it just to plug my USB game controller in to play old Nintendo games.
