JORBA FEST 2009 Countdown

Food Drive at the Fest!

New for this year’s Bike Fest, JORBA will be conducting a food drive to benefit the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Community Food Bank supplies food to programs at nearly 1,500 non-profit charities in 19 New Jersey Counties. Help us feed those less fortunate in these very difficult economic times. Bring 1, 2, 10 or 100 items.

We will have a collection site for items such as:

Canned Meats – chicken, beef stew, hearty soups

Canned Fish – tuna, salmon, sardines

Chili, Macaroni & Cheese

Peanut Butter – in plastic jars

Canned Vegetables – all kinds

Canned Fruits – all kinds

Canned Soups – especially those with meat or beans

Canned Spaghetti Sauce

Boxes of enriched pasta, rice, oatmeal and breakfast cereals

I'm so there!!!

I'm in again this year, gonna do a long int ride in the morning, we'll see about the afternoon. I hope I can find the place again, my iPhone apparently doesn't know where kinney rd is or Waterloo village. Is it on Waterloo rd????? 501 Crew representin!!!!! Also, I may take off my decade+ old tires and put on some with some knobbies this year!!!

Quick directions:

Take Route 80 to Exit 25.
Follow Directions for Route 206 North toward Newton
At the second traffic light, turn left onto Waterloo Road
Follow Waterloo Road past Waterloo Village, the Boy Scout Camp and Under Route 80
The Concert Field will be on the left side of the road on Kinney Road.

I knew in my heart waterloo rd was the deal and the iPhone was not diggin the yahoo directions page one bit. Once I'm on Waterloo I can get there fo sho! I can hear the 501 calls in the woods already!
 
For general info anyone that maybe racing a chain stretcher and want to not have to drive home and then back up the next morning there are plenty of hotels in the area as well!

I know you can get a room at the Residence Inn which is less than 10 mins from the Fest for $99 a night. Then its only 1 1/2hr to Blue. That is what we plan on doing. 🙂

There is also a Wyndham Garden Hotel about 2 miles from the festival at 1000 International Drive, Budd Lake, NJ 07828.

hmmm. ima stay in PA at my sisters right across the border but i have nothing planned for sunday. maybe ill come to blue in my mtbnj cheerleading outfit.
 
Tune in to Z100 Tomorrow Morning

So Greg T on the Elvis Duran show on Z100 is an old friend. I have been bugging him & begging him to try to get a mention of JORBA Fest. on the show. He just let me know that it is a go for tomorrow morning's show. It should be during one of their go-to's for commercials or something. Like Frank said when I told him it was a possibility....hmmmm we might need more parking!

Seriously though it is super cool of Greg T & of Z100 to plug this event for free. Huge thanks to both!!!!!!! Tune in tomorrow morning!
