The Offical Word
From Frank:
To All Possible JORBA Fest Attendees
Below please find our current plan for tomorrow's festivities:
It is the opinion of the JORBA Staff that the event should be held tomorrow rain or shine. Please be aware that due to weather there maybe some adjustment to group rides. Our main concern is the safety of all riders involved when riding in possibly less than perfect conditions. For example if at 9AM it is a torrential rain it is possible that Bob W. could call off the ride that he is planning to lead. If its a sprinkle at noon we let the ride go. With two weeks of dry weather and good trail conditions matched with the outstanding work of the Allamuchy trail maintenance group we feel the trails can withstand light rain with the traffic that we are expecting to see. Please be aware that severe weather such as lightning, hail, or other potentially dangerous situations would call for us to suspend or cancel the event.
This is basic common sense stuff, but we will deal with tomorrow as it comes. Please understand and work with the JORBA staff if or when any changes affect rides or events tomorrow. We thank you in advance for your patience and hope that we are able to hold the event so that everyone will be able to enjoy themselves.
Thank you again,
Frank Harms,
President, JORBA
