Keto

I could totally do this if I could buy carb offsets to cover the IPAs-
Is there such a market?

Yeah exogenous ketones. Esters would get you into Ketosis right after your ipa if you can handle them. Otherwise there is powder.

Medium chain triglyceride oil is really good as well.

Hey MCT oil isn't natural - cavemen weren't chemists!

Nope they weren't and I don't pretend to eat like a caveman either. I freeze my meat in a freezer so that's my proof.

About your starchy carbs- I will have samples for you to try something out as early as September. And yes, I will provide you with scientific research. You down?

All of this talk is really about blood glucose control. Avoid spikes in blood sugar and avoid the bonk that follows or blood glucose is a great transporter for cancerous cells, etc etc

Rick, can you write out your experience with the keto diet in this thread please? It sounds like you had a negative result. How long did you do it? I'm curious.

Did I ever post that I tried it? I was commenting on the nonsense you were posting on historical diets and the significance (or not) to current diets. I agree with @1sh0t1b33r - if you works for you, great. I believe in a balanced diet (not by any stretch of the imagination keto) and it works for me. I don't suggest everyone should use this diet and that it is the only one that is species appropriate. Just had a turkey sammich for lunch with chips and a pickle. Now I'll go for a ride.

PS what's your experience in biochemistry? Biomedical research? I'm curious.

I minored in anthropology, and my wife has a masters is molecular biology and has her name on some pretty fancy papers in cardiovascular.
I have, unlike you, actually experimented with the discussion in this thread, instead of just EEYORING my way through life trying to shit on everything in mtbnj with no actual personal experience.

Healthy to watch your blood sugar and eat foods with a low glycemic index, but glucose does not transport cancerous cells, lets be clear about that.

My most important thought of the day was how I would remove the carb(tortilla) from a taco? What is that? And is a tortilla really that bad carb wise?
tortilla's are a huge fuck. The tortilla in a chipotle burrito is over 300 calories. Just the tortilla wrap!
You'll have to learn to embrace the taco salad. You can also make taco shells out of microwaved cheddar cheese. Seriously. Rice can be substituted with cauliflower rice. I don't bother with any of these substitutes, I just eat whatever is easy. But my buddy Ryan is a great cook and likes to do this sort of stuff. Like keto pizza. I enjoy it, I just can't bring myself to the effort.

@Blair here is your answer only I use an oven and a ruler

@Monkey Soup the age ole argument. Is cancer genetic or metabolic? Im not a doctor or scientist to say whether glucose is a transporter of cancerous cells. However the scientist and doctors that support the ketogetic diet believe it does.
