That's right.
Make RV OK Again in 2023
(this has not been vetted by @Norm)
Ain't never gunna be great - unless you ride an ebike.
But it does serve its purpose of a great workout, and ok when wet.
@Robin has reported trees down, followed up by @Steve Vai
I'll take care of the lumber laying across the trail over the next couple weeks.
What we need to do is trim!!!!
Three stages of trimback -
Run a weed wacker with a metal blade (3 or 4 tooth) -
Run a hedge trimmer to cut back the sides - hedge trimmer on a stick is nice, can also do the above part
String trim - hedge trimmer on a stick is ok at this too.
Oh, rake the mess of multiflora rose off the trail.
if i had 3 hedge trimmers on sticks we'd be all set, but i don't. @Kirt ?
That's it!
I tried to do it all today (plus saw) - and wow, it is slow moving.
Join me over the next couple months, or do your own thing.
Report in, I'll keep track on some modified, official-looking spreadsheet.
The part of Cush that we ride is good - went through there already.
I'll start coordinating with the Readington open space people - they are very resourceful.
Next Meeting: tbd
Standard stuff: Bring water, bug spray, gloves, and a good attitude.
Bring your favorite tool, or i'll probably have something.
Start at the RV Road gate, and work back towards the south dam, or the other way - no shortage..
Might have to park at the base of the road, in the spot on Dreahook.
I'm riding in for this one.
If i can get into the scout camp, that would help.
I'll probably bring my bike and pack in my saw.
Working the ebike + trailer thing now.
