MTBNJ & Halters Group Ride - Six Mile Run - August 8

I saw him giving grief to some guys that weren't part of our group for not restarting before him so they wouldn't have to pass him, which I guess is a big deal for that guy. I know we have to be accommodating to those on foot but I didn't think it meant riding on their schedule.

Hey I did take a picture!
I can't believe I didn't selfie with my wife. What kind of lame husband!?!

Sounds like a dick. First off, if you're running at 6mr on a weekend you gotta expect a million bikers to be out there. When I run there I don't bother with the ipod because I know there's a lot of traffic and will step aside to let bikes pass.

The half naked angry trail runner with the lime green shorts shorts asked me if we were all going back in when we were all hanging out at the 27 lot. I told him eventually we would. He said 'hmm...' sounding annoyed and walked away. I smiled because I knew we were going to ruin his day.

It was great ride today, even tough I didn't ride with the group 🙂 Good to see everyone, even if it was for a split second when the train was going back to the lot. We (my wife, 3 boys & me) got late to the park, and our pace was really slow so we couldn't catch up. My kids liked the place and could probably have hung with the group but for my wife this was a bit too much since rides very little and mostly Columbia Trail. Still, they all end up the ride happy.

It looks like @woody made an impression on my middle son (Nicolás) 🙂 He rode with him on our way back to the car and used only one gear. Now he's asking me to convert his bike to SS 🙂

I hope there's another ride like this before the end of the year.

Was this by the dip on red near the power lines? We caught the main group at that point, and the runner asked me if I was going to stop every 5 minutes. I was like huh...he said you just passed me now you're going to pass me again, didn't you just come from that way (points to 27 lot)? @Flaubert indicated that we had not, so he just started running away. I reminded him to share the trails. Picture by @soundz is great.
