The D&R canal is it's own park, I count that!! And no, you're on the road to Sourlands. It's not too bad of a ride though, maybe 20ish minutes, plus there's a quickie mart on the route, that'll come in handy😀

The way I'd normally do the C-Rock/6-Mile loop is to jump on the D&R in New Brunswick, get off at the BB circle, take Vosseller up into the back of C-Rock, do the loop, go back down Vosseller and resume the D&R to 6-mile, where I'll usually go straight through to 27 and back into New Brunswick. If you continued doing the 6-mile loop back to the D&R and went back the same way, you'd end up with something close to 65 miles, maybe 10 miles of pavement!! When do you guys want to do it!!??😀😀😀😀

Nice Ride. I am hoping to hit up High Mountain more this year. It is less than 5 minutes from work.

Do you know of a trail head that hits Valley rd?
 
i'm sorry i can't really gave direction with precisely,however...if you take a look at my GPS route...zooming it at valley rd towards 202 then look for a road name--->
chicopee dr and that will eventually take you to the blue trail head and that's as close as you can get if you're at valley road.
i did remember passed these blue trail+white with private housing sorounding that area,..it's very close,probably 100yards from the trails.
 
Does Chicopee died end at the trail head or is it some where in the middle of the road. Hard to see/find if I am in my car looking for it?

Your best bet is to park in WPU and take the red trail in. You could also park at the end of Urban Club Road (off of Valley road by the ice vault).

There are plenty of other trails in there, the place is not that big. Go explore it.
 
Nice. I work at the hotel above the Ice Volt. I am looking to ride my bike from here and hit the trails. BUT I do not want to be on Valley Rd for long. People are crazy around here.

Is there a trail head at the end of that Urban Club Rd?
 
I just realized that all this High Mountain talk took place on a Chimney Rock topic. Sorry for the derailment of your post.
 
I notice you always start and end somewhere different, how do you do that? Does someone drop you off or pick you up?

I've done 6 mile and CR in one day, but i drove from CR to 6 mile 😛

EDIT: nevermind, i see you stop at the bus/train depot. great idea!

nicee,.its harpack trails!!

these are my regular rides route whenever i have deliveries at franklin park,80% of trails and the rest tarmac.rode 3 different park.
1.six mile 2.D&R canal towpath 3.chimney rock
then back again to D&R towards new brunswick then catch a train back to clifton.
all 3 trails is in good condition.
