On Saturday I confirmed I am not in good enough shape to race enduro right now... pre-ride was still fun.

Carbon cranks + e-Bike + flat rock garden =

Not my bike... I was the only one with tools.... I was able to get the pedal threaded back into the crank so the rider was able to limp the bike back to the lot, but the threads are separated from the crank body so it's toast. E13 cranks... any chance Trek will warranty them?

Seriously... what product manager thought carbon cranks on an e-bike was a good idea?

Seriously... what product manager thought carbon cranks on an e-bike was a good idea?

Why would carbon cranks be any different on an e-bike? If anything, I would guess less abuse as the motor is doing some of the work. Any bike can smash into a rock with a crank arm. I was the victim of a failed carbon crank so their not my favorite either.

i dont see the benefit of the carbon cranks on a mtn bike, but thats just me.
