Tuesday Beginner Rides 2012

It was a fun ride. It's great to see people improve, the young boy made it up some more climbs tonight and it really helped his confidence. Once again I'm compelled to thank ALL that attend these rides, and mostly to all the experienced folk for their extreme patience and help. You are making a huge difference in the riding community, and hopefully that will spill out into the cesspool we live in. Mickey took a bit of a spill tonight when he zigged instead of zagging, hope he feels better and thanks to those who helped him. C U next week.
 
Missed this week again....got there late. these rides leave at 6pm? and it looks like they start of hospital road is this correct. I hope to get out on my first ride next tuesday.
 
Looking forward to doing Allaire for the first time Tuesday night! Been riding Six Mile on my own and I love it, but it would be cool to ride with others.
 
Prepare!!

Tonight's ride will be really f&@king hot so please be sure to bring extra water. We will do our best to keep the ride moving, but prepare for the worst. Also worth noting, my wife ( works at a pharmacy) saw her first case of chiggers this year, so stay on the trail and be sure to use bug spray.
 
Nicew ride tonight 28 people came out nice loop thanks to all that help to make these rides so much fun...
 
Ride should be a go, 30% chance of rain means a 70% chance of riding. Yesterdays forecast looked even more ominous and we didn't get a drop.
 
Great ride tonight 21 people came out we had a good pace every one had a good time..

How we normally work it is the day of the ride if it is going to be cancled we will post here by 4:00 PM on Tuesday. We also hit the FB jorba page as well.. see you on the trails..

It was hot but we did have a good pace and a good time (except for my damn bottle breaking loose in the Hog Bog).

Thanks again to the JORBA volunteers for making this possible. After an excellent ride (except for my damn bottle) I got home to find my JORBA shirt and stickers in the mailbox. Yay me!

I hope the Kona rider is feeling OK today.

Whats the usual route of the beginner Ride?

Just got back into biking after 7 years and I seem to be finding myself and a coworker there at 5pm Tuesdays...

There really isnt a "usual route"
The route does change a bit depending on who is leading. But all the routes we do take are pretty mellow and we stop occasionally to give everyone a chance to rest a bit.
It is a lot of fun with some great folks and a way of learning some of the trails.

Not the small lot by the paved path, the lot for the trails is larger, fenced, and has 2 potties 😱

Google maps is wrong UGH, if coming down rt 34, right on Allenwood, right on Atlantic, left on Hospital, lot is on the right.
