Very boring thread

this is completely irrelevant, but i want to know after following along,

what do you do now? and what is the new position? also kind of curios who you work for (some of these policies sound familiar is what prompts the curiosity)

Max,

As someone who has languished at the same place for almost 25 years....thru two acquisitions and been layered a billion times because I was too “vital” in my space...... my only advice is to continue to move as opportunities presents themselves..... and when those slow down, make your own!

You owe it to yourself.

Just got slapped with the franchise tag being told I can't apply

Onto policy

That's what I was asking you about and simply makes sense as it was a position within the same company. Probably HR put its heavy foot down in the greater interest of the Company...both managers pursue their individual goals and interests, when they somehow conflict with each other a third party needs to step in.

Honestly, not the type of discussion I would have on a public forum.

There isn't enough identifing information out there for me here which is why I had my last name removed from my user name.

I'm on a sinking ship may as well bounce some ideas to see what's in my best interest.

We're not even at the point of conflicting interest because I didn't apply.

If he's being a dick after. All this, you could find a light way to throw the term "hostile work environment" out there. Chances are if he has high turnover, that'll throw a red flag at him to calm the F down. I should note, only do that if it's really bad and be subtle about it.

It was my understanding he's already a dick. I mean Max's boss.

Data analysis by duties but not by title or pay, I'm applying for a sr data analysis position since I advise that team and work along side them. I work for a huge company won't get into names but I want to say more

HR killed my chances, I was told I need to wait 18 months.

They're claiming because I changed career tracks from agent to technical it's like I'm a new hire.

I'm gonna get me a new job

Thats some antiquated BS right there. Happy hunting.

I am heartbroken over this I was told that the business will not and do not let people apply out within 18 months which I am evidence of that not being true.

I've had 40 minutes in the car of clarity I'm going to query employment records to see what the average time a promoted employee is in their position prior to promotion. Calculate turn over rates and trends under my manager and director for both transfers external vs the business unit and company.

We all know what I'm gearing up for...

I did get an interview for 2 weeks from now and I might have another inline after talking to a former co worker.
