Westwood Velo 9/29

roll call of those who haven't registered yet? I'm torn with this one. I don't do well at this course, but theres less people, which means I could have some room to breathe. And some picnic is on Saturday too: hmmm: 70 people at town hall on a course I've never been to, at a venue I've never been to. Town Hall is an hour away with a 12:30 start, Westwood is 1:15 away, with a 1030am start...

We are a maybe for Westwood. I like this course, though I admit that this stands as one of the most frustrating DNFs ever, when I was in 2nd place and my chain gave up the ghost. I still vividly recall how intense my desire was to throw my bike that day.

I do enjoy the course though.

You should go to the picnic over Town Hall. I think that course is overrated and the venue is ok. If we were local to it I would say to support it but it's not exactly around the corner. Plus the picnic is the picnic. We need to support Iggy!
 
Do Westwood. Drink global, race local (which in your case means Jarritos or Inca cola). NJBA 4 lyfe.
 
I want to do all the races I can so I'm on the fence too. I'm already reg'd for Town Hall but want to go to the picnic too. DOH!
 
I'll be there. 1st 1 of the season for me.
 
I am doing Town Hall on Sat and Westwood on Sunday. I will try to stop by the picnic on the way home from Bethlehem. My MIL is coming out for the weekend so I have a bit of flexibility.
 
Likely out for this one even though its my favorite course of the series. Very slight chance I show up day of.
 
80% chance I will make Westwood. 8:30 start time sounds like a pain... Will decide by Friday.

ok - i'm 50, my license says cx: 04 -
i suck - and the license came out before cat 5

the only age based races are masters, i suspect this means someone that was once cat 3 or above? am i right there? or are they not that anal, as long as i don't cause a pile-up.

which race should i get into ?

i see kirt in the masters 40+, so i want none of that 🙂
graveyardman in the C/cat 4 - don't want none of that either.....
mr perkins is in the 50+ - can i heckle while riding? (when he laps me?)

there is a mens masters 40+ and a masters 40+ - 'sup with that..

I'm signed up for the B and the 40+. I'll do the B and use the 40+ as a backup.

Do both! Town Hall is Saturday and Westwood Sunday. I see no problem here. I did Town Hall last year and thought it was a great course and venue - good times. Maybe I'm just weird. :hmmm:

I hate that the NJ Cup has a NY race - seriously hate that. Westwood is my least favorite course. I think you have to be a mountain man to do well there, 😀
 
I'll be at Westwood, no Town Hall for me.

Planning to do as many NJ Cups as possible this season.
