Right now: Harpoon Black IPA from their 100 barrel series.
Not bad, but not my favorite BIPA- it's good, just doesn't stand out like
Magic Hat's Demo or Widmer Bros Pitch Black.

Franz is a great weissbier- probably my favorite go-to weiss.
Didn't care much for their Dunkelweizen (dark wheat),
maybe I just don't like the style.

I just tapped into Lagunitas Bavarian-style Doppel Weizen the other day.
Man that was right on time. Almost enough to make me forgive them the WTF.

I hear ya on the darker brews...not much of big fan. I tend to enjoy the lighter brews. I also like Hoegaarden and Palm. I'm really not much of a beer-o-phile!
I also enjoy Sam's Summer and Blue Moon's "Honey Moon" seasonal beer! Yea,
I know..low-brow Coors stuff lol...😛😱

Capt Lawrence Smoked Porter and Abita 25th

Had dinner at a cajun joint tonight-
had a Capt Lawrence Smoked Porter- not bad, but wouldn't cross the street for it, and Abita's 25th anniversary vanilla double dog

Not a huge Abita fan, but I enjoyed this. Lot going on between all the malts and vanilla.
Toffee was the defining flavor. I give it a B+, or 3.5 tap handles.

Good stuff indeed. Its their IPA fermented with a Belgian yeast... So tasty.

We are up in Burlington, VT visiting family - had Fiddlehead IPA - the brewer used to be a Magic Hat and now has his own brewery in Shelburne. It was tasty!

I've neglected Magic Hat for a long time, but decided to pick one of their IPA on tour brews (Blind Faith) in pinch, and i'll tell you something. This beer is the shiznit S00000 smooth and refreshing. Funny name considering how it went down and now the love I have for this beer!
