@Rogueldr I think you're missing the point.

Nobody really cares that you saw a hot girl on a trail. Your first post was funny, I laughed, and then I saw how many pages I still needed to read through. So then I keep reading, laughing, and then you say these two comments:

1.) "Lol. No. I'm just not used to seeing good looking girls riding "real" bikes on "real" trails."

2.) "I was expecting nothing. Just amazed at the sighting. Hey if you guys saw a unicorn or big foot on the trail wouldn't you post about it. People are always posting about strange things they see, yet I get flamed for mine."

But the greatest thing that came out of this whole thread is that you have a wife, and two kids. Which makes this whole thread even more amusing because you made this thread to say "how you doin'" to a girl you saw on the trail. I mean, I know that your female coworkers are cool with what you said, but what about your wife?

So let's just refresh: We don't give a shit that you called a woman hot. What we give a shit about is you shitting on female riders saying that finding an attractive one is like finding a unicorn or bigfoot on the trail.

I sure hope you don't have a daughter with the way you talk about women. Because one day she will definitely be put in a situation where she needs to stand up for herself, and other woman, because some douche thinks he can put them down.

Oh, and you still haven't posted a picture of yourself.
 
@mandi Just to play devil's advocate, I don't think OP meant for this post to shit on women riders. Maybe, just for the sake of having unusually silly thoughts on the situation, @Rogueldr has unusually high standards for what he considers a "hot girl" and only considers super dooper expensive 29ers a "real mountain bike" and this particuler day all of the said requirments were met and it was his unicorn. And the 12 pages worth of post are showing people care enough to either joke or take offense to the subject. I do agree that op should prob just take the heat and sneak into the shadows and accept the less than PC post. But at the same time , considering this entire community seems to be based of inside jokes and spending free time playing in the dirt we could give him a muligan after page 15 or so. (15 cause I'm enjoying this thread) *post written with all due respect to the women of the board.

So let me get this straight for future reference. If I post about something I RARELY see on the trail, that's shitting on it? I rarely see Ferraris on the road but if I do see one and mention that it's rare, that's shitting on it? I just want to know the rules. Posting about something you hardly ever see is considered shitting on it. Got it. Thanks.

Also what I find funny is that you expect me to post MY pic when all you "cute" female riders have different pics for your avatars? Ok here you go

But it is, based on #s alone.
Most people are not attractive, most women don't ride mtn bikes.

Well, now I know that they have no sense of humor. Going forward I'll make sure that I post in total seriousness with no joking at all so as not to offend the women here. Because we all know that riding mountain bikes and posting on internet forums about our experiences on the trail are supposed to be done with all seriousness. No fun is allowed.

for the record, I have a green SS. it is an army green Redline Monocog. ladies, if you see me riding it at Hartshorne, please dont spray me with your water bottles.
