A black squirrel is a squirrel with black fur caused by a genetic mutation in a pigment gene.
The mutation is most common in eastern gray and fox squirrels, but can occur in other species as well.
Black squirrels are fairly common, with biologists estimating that one in every 10,000 squirrels has a black coat.
I thought it was a squirrel that mans the wall and guards the realms of men
 
I’ve seen eagles in the distance and flying past but never got a pic until this one last week.

I heard it squawking before I saw it as it’s a very distinct sound.

This was in Califon near the Hoffman’s bridge on river road. Might have been eyeballing fish or the fine selection of ducks and geese swimming below.

I got cold because I stopped to watch it for so long. Pretty cool to see in person.
