I don't know. I thought the Northern Water Snake because of it's proximity to the water. Has the dark pattern with the faint reddish banding I saw in some images of the Northern Water Snake.You look on the snakes back and it looks like the tread on a gravel bike tire.

Here's a video showing a couple of them. Looks a lot like the snake in my photo.
