It’s a weird thing really. Barry Bonds is a lock HoF’er with or without steroids IMO. Does it ruin the image? Sure. Does it make him any less of an amazing player? To me, no.

Same might be said of Colonel Sanderz, or whatever this thread is about.

At the end of the day who cares if they're in the HOF he had his day and will live out the rest of them like a king regardless of public sentiment.

I'd rather go down for cheating over and having made my money. The Astros are just another example, cheating is worth doing if it wasn't the IRS wouldn't be a thing.

This isn't even a conversation about morals its simply put stupid not to try and get any advantage you can because the rewards are far greater.

You can live your life however you like, of course. But money & fame is not worth sacrificing everything, to some people.

I don’t think you understand what this might mean for her. She probably doesn’t have enough money to retire so she will have to work the rest of her life to survive. And what are her career options at this point? Gym teacher? Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe she’ll be Bonds’ neighbor and they’ll laugh every day as they throw gold coins at each other. But I doubt it.

For Bonds & pro athletes I agree. The rewards are huge so it’s simply part of the game. In this realm however, I don’t know if the ends justify the means. I’d bet in a few years she won’t be happy how this all played out.

But again, who knows. Maybe I’m wrong.

that just further justifies her choice if she did do it, i do believe she is getting a poor shake. last five sanctions for cyclist and similar offence shows a heavy hand and i hate to play the card but being a woman is the only outlier

@rick81721 it was in reply to this. Same transgressions across the board but the woman get double the ban term, or more.
