There is a new trail being constructed near Tanks called Stags. It's a non-directional, multi-user group trail, built with the intention of access for adaptive riders. As such, it's very wide, very smooth, and has large radius turns with several overtake/pull-off areas. It's also got some alternate lines for more advanced riders.
Phase 1 reroutes a section of the Butler-Hewitt hiking trail. It's fully cut, but we're going back through doing handwork and compaction now that we've got a mobile watering device to combat this drought. Feel free to check it out though!
Phase 2 will cut back through the fenceline to connect the bottom of Phase 1 to the top of the Asphault road. Phase 3 will climb from there back to the top of Phase 1 (near tanks) on the opposite side of the Top Quad fire road.
I know that having this style of trail at jungle will cause some grumbling among purists. But hopefully the opportunity to bring some less-able friends and family deeper into nature will outweigh the inconvenience of the giant roadway through the woods. Anyhow, gotta get back to it, will check back later!
